Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Food was really good and came out pretty fast. We really liked the paella and tapas. Service was good and waitresses were very accommodating even with our limited Spanish! Food was pretty cheap too!"
"Got caught in the rain and so decided to step into this place for lunch. The food was simple and delicious (vegan options available). Service was amazing, our server Javier was very attentive and charismatic. The atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful as well, nice music and heat lamps to keep you warm in the winter. Highly recommend."
"We had a beer and a rioja. For food we had a salad with tuna and egg. Further a entrecote. In the salad there was a littke tuba and half an egg. It was almost only salad. Not enough for a meal. The entrecote was tasty but not easy to eat. Later we had 2 rioja. Furter a dessert of chocolate. It was tasty and the chocolate cake was hit that made it nice."
"Small little bar on the busy street of the cathedral. The staff was super polite and helpful. They suggested vegetarian options for my friends as per their choices The ambience was a 5 star and the food was super tasty especially the prawn paella. We requested them to add only prawns to the seafood paella and they complied.. thanks for the same! The drinks were good too, they gave us virgin options for the drinks. The interior was full of antique paintings and it had a Christmas ambience. Loved it!"
"We stopped in for tapas & some drinks after visiting the palace. Service was very friendly, food options were good & the tapas we ordered came quickly & was very nice. The interior has a nice decor which makes for a comfortable atmosphere. Would recommend stopping in if you're nearby"
"Loved it here. Great service. Good selection of tapas. Food was served hot. Inside and outside seating. Nice decor."
"I had dinner at Bar Casa Funes and overall it was a pleasant experience. The paella was flavorful and well-prepared, definitely the highlight of the meal. The service wasn’t great, but it wasn’t terrible either — just a bit average. Prices were fair for what you get, making it good value. While the service could be improved, I’d still recommend this place if you’re looking for tasty paella at a reasonable price."
"Just a nice little spot to stop, cool down and have a cold beverage and snack when strolling through the pedestrian only streets around the cathedral (during summer). We had the orange juice and churros, however they did not come with the chocolate sauce as we expected. The spanish 'iced coffee' was good. Service was good, clean bathrooms and it was not too busy."
